Oakland Digital Arts & Literacy Center’s work is bridging the digital literacy and opportunity divide. DIGITAL LITERACY: “Oakland Digital’s is extremely important. I think that small businesses are in danger of extinction and we need to help them expand into this new digital age.” OPPORTUNITY: “At Oakland Digital everyone is treated very equally. A good idea is a good idea no matter who it comes from… (the Inspire program/internship) was a way to creatively expand in a marketable way.” TECH INCLUSION: “Working with professionals from Google and Twitter is definitely new. It’s a bit intimidating, makes you feel little in the tech world… it’s a great feeling to know that it’s possible to get there.” Video directed and produced by Oakland Digital. Video filmed & co-edited by Andrew Warren, 2015.
